Kyra Minturn

 KyraMinturn, born August 19, 1965 is an American actor. She is best known for her starring role as deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson on the TNT crime drama The Closer. Sedgwick received the Golden Globe Award in 2007 for her portrayal of Johnson as well as an Emmy Award 2010 for her performance. The seventh season of the series concluded on August 13, 2012. Sedgwick is also famous for her role in Brooklyn Nine-Nine, playing Madeline Wuntch. Sedgwick was awarded a Golden Globe nomination for her performance as Madeline Wuntch in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's roles in other films include Oliver Stone's Born of the Fourth of July (1989), Cameron Crowe's Ones (1992), Heart and Souls-1993), Phenomenon (1996), What's cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2013). Sedgwick was one of the New York City native, the daughter Patricia Rosenwald (nee Rosenwald) who was an educator and family therapist, as well as Henry Dwight Sedgwick VI who was a venture capitalist. Her mother was Jewish was of English and Episcopalian origins. Sedgwick has declared that she is Jewish and is a part of Passover meal times.
