Jennifer Rene Psaki
Jennifer Rene Psaki, an American advisor to the political process, was the 34th White House Press Secretary from 2021 to 2022. She is a part of the Democratic Party and previously served as the White House deputy Press Secretary (2009) as well as the White House deputy Communications Director (2009-2011) as well as the spokesperson for US Department of State (2013-15) and as the White House communications direct (2015-17). Psaki was a political contributor for CNN from 2017 through 2020. Psaki started her career in the 2001 re-election campaign in Iowa of Tom Harkin and Tom Vilsack, both Democrats running for U.S. Senate. Psaki was later appointed as the deputy press secretary for John Kerry's presidential campaign in 2004. From 2005 to 2006, Psaki served as communications director for U.S. representative Joseph Crowley and as regional press secretary for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. Psaki returned in 2012 to political communication serving as press secretary for President Obama's 2012 campaign for reelection. [20] Psaki was named spokesperson for the United States Department of State in February 2013. [20] The speculations that she would replace Jay Carney White House Press secretary when he left the White House[21] were fuelled by her hire at the Department of State. However, Josh Earnest was announced as the replacement for Carney on May 30 in 2014. She was appointed Communications Director at the White House and continued to continue to do so until the end of 2015.
